Want equal pay for equal work, carry out protest march to the bus stand, burn an effigy of state government

Patiala, January 20

Contractual employees of the National Health Mission (NHM), who work with the Health Department, staged a protest here on Sunday demanding equal pay for equal work.
Hundreds of protesters carried out a protest march from Veer Haqiaqat Rai Park to the bus stand. After the rally, the protesters also burnt an effigy of the Punjab Government. The protesting cadres who took to the road included auxiliary nursing midwife (ANMs), staff nurses, lab attendants and technicians.
The protesters said despite their vital contribution towards achieving all NHM targets for the state, the government had been ignoring their demands. They claimed that they had already met the Governor but the government did not pay any attention to their demand.

Amarjit Singh, the state president of NHM Employees’ Union, said they were demanding hike in their salaries. “If the government in a neighbouring state, Haryana, can pay full salary to NHM employees, then why is Capt Amarinder-led Congress Government in Punjab not implementing it? Apart from full salary, NHM employees in Haryana are also getting dearness allowance on a par with that of government employees,” he claimed.
Amarjit said NHM employees were working on nearly one-fifth the salary of a government employee despite doing the same work for equal hours.
Vishavjeet Singh Khanda, one of the protesters, said they did not want to protest in the first place but the government was not listening to their grievance, which forced them to agitate. He said, “The targets of the NHM, namely Measles Rubella, Pulse Polio, TB, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram and others, could be achieved only because of the hard work of NHM employees. But we are not paid well.”
The union leaders announced that if their demand was not met, they would soon hold a state-wide protest.

12वीं पास उम्मीदवारों के लिए NHM में निकली वैकेंसी, 40 हजार तक होगी सैलरी

नेशनल हेल्थ मिशन (NHM) पंजाब ने विभिन्न पदों पर भर्तियों के लिए अधिसूचना जारी की है. हेल्थ सेक्टर में सरकारी नौकरी की चाह रखने वाले उम्मीदवारों के लिए ये सुनहरा मौका है. NHM पंजाब ने लैब टेक्निशियन, माइक्रोबायोलॉजिस्ट, टीबी- एचवी सुपरवाइजर सहित कुल 170 पदों पर वैकेंसी निकाली है. योग्य और इच्छुक उम्मीदवार विभाग की ऑफिशियल वेबसाइट पर लॉगइन कर फॉर्म भर सकते हैं. आवेदन करने की आखिरी तारीख 15 अप्रैल 2018 है.
शैक्षणिक योग्यता

माइक्रोबायोलॉजिस्ट (IRL) के लिए मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से Microbiology में P G होना आवश्यक है.
सीनियर लेब टेक्निशियन (IRL) के लिए  मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से  B.Sc. MLT की डिग्री और साथ में 3 वर्षों का अनुभव भी होना चाहिए.
सीनियर डॉट्स प्लस और टीबी एचवी सुपरवाइजर के लिए किसी मान्यता प्राप्त संसथान/ यूनिवर्सिटी से बैचलर डिग्री होना चाहिए और 6 महीने का कंप्यूटर सर्टिफिकेट आवश्यक है.
सीनियर टीबी लैब सुपरवाइजर के लिए मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से B.Sc. MLT की रेगुलर डिग्री के  साथ 6 महीने का कंप्यूटर सर्टिफिकेट आवश्यक है.
सीनियर ट्रीटमेंट सुपरवाइजर के लिए किसी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान/ यूनिवर्सिटी से बैचलर डिग्री और 6 महीने का कंप्यूटर सर्टिफिकेट आवश्यक है. साथ में 1 साल का अनुभव भी जरुरी है.
टीबी हेल्थ विजिटर के पदों पर आवेदन के लिए उम्मीदवारों का मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान 12वीं पास होना चाहिए और Multipurpose Health में डिप्लोमा सर्टिफिकेट आवश्यक है.
